Overview

Singapore offers a Visa Free Transit Facility (VFTF) that allows certain nationalities to transit through Singapore without a visa for up to 96 hours.

Note for Chinese citizens: you no longer need the VFTF — Chinese (PRC) ordinary passport holders enter Singapore visa-free for 30 days under the mutual arrangement in force since February 2024.

If not eligible for VFTF: You need to apply for a transit visa before travel.
